Welcome to my upcoming webcomic, Poison Ivy Gulch.
This is a comic strip about the old West. It owes a lot to Tumbleweeds, the newspaper comic strip that ran from 1965 to 2007 by T.K. Ryan. Much of the inspiration came from other sources such as Peanuts, Wizard of Id, Shoe and other comic strips.
Further inspiration came from numerous Western movies. I spent many hours watching classic Hollywood Westerns, especially those of the great actor John Wayne. Spaghetti Westerns were another part of my research; I’ve watched the Dollars trilogy by Sergio Leone, the Sartana movies and lesser known flicks like They Call Me Hallejuah and Montana Trap.
